About the Hybrid Shell

When my daughters were young, we lived in an apartment building in Brooklyn. Getting everyone dressed for winter often took longer than the time we spent outside. Once we left the apartment, we weren't running back upstairs for a forgotten mitten.

I kept noticing the same pattern. Mittens disappeared. Wrists got wet and cold. Kids got cranky and uncomfortable. We headed home.

As a designer, I started sketching. Function was only half the challenge. I wanted it to feel like a natural part of the outfit—not an attachment or an accessory—and to be something parents would genuinely enjoy dressing their children in.

The result is a patented children's outerwear concept designed to keep mittens attached, wrists covered, and kids outside longer. I'm now looking for the right licensing partner to bring it to families.
