When my daughters were young, we lived in an apartment building in Brooklyn. Getting everyone dressed for winter often took longer than the time we spent outside. Once everyone was bundled up and out the door, we were committed.

I kept noticing the same pattern. Mittens disappeared. Wrists got wet and cold. The kids got cold and uncomfortable, and it didn't take long before we were heading home.

I couldn't stop thinking about it. Eventually, I sat down and put the idea on paper.

Solving the problem was only part of the challenge. I wanted to create something functional, utilitarian, and classic in its appearance.

That sketch became the foundation for a patented children's outerwear concept. I'm exploring partnerships with a small number of children's outerwear brands whose design philosophy closely aligns with my own.
